a few of my favorite things

* vintage buttons *
these came from Georgia. i found them at a booth across the road in warrenton. i usually don't go on the other side. not because i don't like it, but because i usually run out of steam way before i get there. but, allen was with me this time; and with his prompting, i jumped the fence (as you would say). this booth had so many buttons, i almost popped mine. it was hard to choose just a few, which i did. but, a budget is a budget & these came home with me. they will be in my bag on the way to art & soul at the end of the month.
*more finds to follow tomorrow*

I have a love of buttons that comes from childhood. My grandma had a button jar, and I loved to look at all the buttons she had collected. Of course, back then, it was a necessity to collect them. You used them again! I love your buttons, too.

Wow! Very pretty...

I love buttons, but don't have any old ones.. I used to, but they were in a little box that was one of the things that we never recovered from the house after the tornado...
I DO have one gold button... it's not that old, really, and it's rather odd looking... but when I was little, my mom had this mustard yellow quilted nylon coat, she wore it for years, and this was one of the buttons from that coat... One of the few reminders of my childhood I still have...
