Odd Shots Monday ~ Ben-Hur?

This larger than life metal sculpture showed up at a neighborhood antique shop about a year ago. I must say, it stood out like a sore thumb. Every time I passed by, it made me think of Charlton Heston in the 1959 Oscar winning movie of Ben-Hur. I loved that movie.
Then, about 2 months ago, it disappeared. I actually was a little sad. Where did it go? About 20 miles down the road to another antique stop.

Now that is Odd! And not the sort of thing you'd put on your bookshelf.

Diane,
That is a peculiar piece! I wonder who would ever buy it? Someone with lots of land and a Charlton Heston fan, that's who!

And I join you in being thankful for the men and women who sacrificed for our country~~

May your day be blessed. Love you!

That is very odd, I thought it rather large to fit in someone's garden. At least you can still see it.

One would have to have a pretty big yard for that! Good catch!

I did my Memorial post on Sunday for today.

We must be "neighbors". I have many shots of this piece as well when it resided in Sealy. My BF just informed me that it is no longer there though. I will miss it too. Let me know if you spot it somehere else!
