Melanie helped Allen prepare a recipe this past weekend from Allen's newest cookbook - The Texas Cowboy Cookbook: A History in Recipes and Photos by Robb Walsh. It is a great cookbook, and contains alot of great Texas history. The Maque Choux (Mock Shoe-which is not a french phrase but is supposedly of American Indian origin) that they prepared, from the fresh corn Jeff & Shannon bought at HEB, was DELICIOUS! How could a Father's Day be more perfect for a father, than to have two of his daughter's by his side?
