Bead Soup Blog Party, III

What is a Bead Soup Blog Party?
A brainstorm of a blog party designed by
Lori Anderson of {Pretty Things}
Here's the scoop.
Each jewelry designer was paired with another jewelry designer
and tasked with sending the following:
~ A focal
~ A special clasp (not just a lobster claw)
~ Some coordinating spacers or beads
Using the focal and the clasp was mandatory, but we could use anything from our own stash to round out the rest, and choose to use the coordinating beads or not.
Here's what came from my bench!
  "grandmother's gold & glitz"
Made with Melissa's luscious lampwork beads.

My bead partner, Melissa Mesara
was more than generous with the goodies she sent for my soup.
I know you remember the pictures I posted showing you all her gorgeous lampwork beads and the AB Czech crystals, which actually was her grandmother's necklace.
I felt honored that she sent this necklace to me,
and hope she enjoys seeing how I incorporated it into my designs.
I now have a set of new jewelry that I love,
and will wear next week at Adorn Me!
I also made a bracelet
a pair of earrings.
" grandmother's gold & glitz"
Plus, the necklace has an interchangeable dangle.
(I added another option just this morning,
but you will have to go all the way to the end of the post to see it =)
I can change one of the rhinestone drops to a dangle I made using one of the
shimmering glass leaves Melissa sent,
which makes for a truly gorgeous minor focal to the necklace.
Yummy goodness don't you think?
Other ingredients:  vintage rhinestone focal (that has been on my table for some time just waiting for the right moment to be used =), vintage rhinestone drops and ear bobs,
along with one of my favorite Brass Bouquet components called Emma
as well as the oval beads and the jolie beadcaps
which I hammered out just a tad.
The luscious recycled silk sari ribbon came from artist,
Lisa Jurist, of Mudhound Studio.
The color of the silk compliments the beads and crystals perfectly, and is so soft.
I am in love with every piece =)
I will be making my way to Melissa's blog early to see what she has made with the ingredients I sent for her soup.
So come along with me to the one-eared pig beads.
Then, lets go see what the rest of the participants made!

Diane, just getting in from a full day of basketball and lacrosse, now I'm ready to do some blog hopping and made a beeline right over here! :-) I was so eager to what my dear rhinestone queen would do with lampwork! Ah, you never cease to amaze me with your skills dear friend. I just love how you added your special touch and created an heirloom piece that has such a rich, ornate feel to it. I absolutely love the details, from the Czech glass to the sari have made one fine necklace here (and your bracelet and earrings are amazing as well). Everyone at Adorn Me will want to reach out and touch this piece, just to see it up close. (pssst....can you bring in in September??).
